This website lastingchapter.sg (the “Website”) is operated by Everbest City Comfort Private Limited (UEN: 201605310D) a private limited company incorporated in the Republic of Singapore (“Everbest”, “we” or “us”).
 

License to Use

Everbest provides the Website general  informations, and other services (collectively known as the “Services”). Everbest grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your own personal, internal business use, subject to the terms of service contained herein (“Terms of Use”).
 

Agreement Between You and Everbest

Legal Services for Consumers


The Website’s Services include a number of methods by which you can get in touch with lawyers, or have a direct, confidential discussion of your legal issues with a lawyer. Although some of these methods involve Everbest processing a transaction on your behalf, Everbest is simply the intermediary in such transactions. You are liable for paying the lawyer for the services provided. Everbest has no liability, either primarily or secondarily, for paying the lawyer other than as an agent on your behalf.

The fees you pay for such services are charged by the lawyer and passed through to the lawyer once services have been rendered. Any solicitor-client relationship formed as a result of such discussions is between you and the lawyer you speak with—not between you and Everbest. Further, you understand that Everbest cannot be held responsible for the quality or accuracy of any information or legal services provided by lawyers you connect with via the Website.
 

The Website may also provide a platform for self-help in the making of your will. If you require assistance for your specific legal situation, we recommend that you consult a lawyer. No legal representation relationship exists in any way between you and Everbest.
 

No Legal Referral Fees

We allow lawyers to list their services on our Website. There is no fee sharing arrangement on a commission basis between Everbest and any lawyer or law firm for any legal matter. Importantly, Everbest does not select, approve, or otherwise endorse any particular lawyer, law firm, or provider of legal services on lastingchapter.sg. Everbest further expressly disclaims any representation or warranty that the information displayed in our listings are correct or reliable. Under no circumstances shall Everbest have any liability to you for any reliance on such information.

When you contact or engage the lawyers that are listed on our Website, no legal relationship, engagement, or retainer is formed between you and Everbest. Everbest is not responsible for your dealings with any of the lawyers listed on our Website.
 

Before retaining a lawyer, you should carefully consider the lawyer’s knowledge and experience and ask for a written legal services agreement detailing the terms and conditions of the engagement, including all fees, expenses and other obligations.

Other Service Providers
 

Apart from legal services/lawyers as abovementioned, we allow other service providers including but not limited to funeral directors, real estate salespersons, and car dealers to list their services on our Website ("Service Providers"). Importantly, Everbest does not select, approve, or otherwise endorse any particular Service Providers on lastingchapter.sg. Everbest further expressly disclaims any representation or warranty that the information displayed in our listings are correct or reliable. Under no circumstances shall Everbest have any liability to you for any reliance on such information.

You are responsible to do your own due diligence before engaging any Service Providers. We will not be liable if for any reason the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period. It is specifically stipulated and you agree that any third party who is not a direct contracting party in the provision of our Services shall not be entitled to make any claim whatsoever against Everbet, and that the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act of Singapore is specifically excluded.
 

All the terms and conditions herein shall apply to your next-of-kin, successors-in-title, the administrators and executors of your estate and to this extent, you and your estate shall indemnify Everbest fully against any claims by your next-of-kin, successors-in-title or any third party, for loss or damage and all legal costs incurred in respect of defending such legal proceedings that may be brought against Everbest arising from your use of the Services and/or the Website.
 

Termination

Notwithstanding any of these Terms of Use, Everbest reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate your license to use the Website, and to block or prevent your access to and use of the Website. This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement
